Children’s Care, Learning & Development (QCF)

An accredited qualification in Childcare available at Levels 2 and  3. Suitable for candidates who wish to work in playgroups, nurseries, primary school or day care.

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care, Learning and Development is designed for managers, deputies and those in a supervisory role within childcare settings. The qualification is designed to build on the experience you have already gained in your setting and provides you with a range of tools to help you get the most from the staff you manage, along with developing your leadership skills to a new level.

Working With Children With Special Needs (QCF)

This Level 3 QCF award will develop a student’s knowledge, understanding, confidence and competence when working with  children with a variety of special needs: Cerebral Palsy,   Autistic   Spectrum   Disorders, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD, Visual  Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Language Impairment. It will enable participants to plan a structured programme to help a child with special needs, in consultation with parents and professionals.

Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF)

This accredited course is aimed at those who want to gain employment as a Teaching Assistant within the school environment. Available at Levels 2 and 3.

Playwork (QCF)

An accredited qualification available at Levels 2 and 3. Suitable for play workers who are involved in planning and running playwork services for 5 – 15 year olds in after schools clubs, youth clubs etc.

Health & Social Care (QCF)

An accredited qualification available at Levels 2 and 3. Suitable for those who wish to work in a range of care settings such as residential care or nursing homes, hospitals, supported living accommodation and domiciliary settings. Level 5 is also available and is aimed at those who are working or want to work in advanced practice within health and social care services.

Assessor / Internal Verifier Awards (QCF)

Suitable for those who wish to train to become assessors or internal verifiers. The awards are work based qualifications which assess the skills and  knowledge  people  have and need to perform their job role effectively.

Business Administration (QCF)

An accredited qualification available at Levels 2, 3 and 4. Suitable for those working in or who hope to work in an administrative  capacity, developing and managing administrative processes, systems and staff.

Management (QCF)

Available as an accredited QCF qualification at Levels 3, 4 and 5. Suitable for those working in junior, middle or senior management. Successful achievement of this qualification would enable candidates to apply for membership of the Chartered Institute of Management.

Learning and Development (QCF)

An accredited qualification at Levels 3, 4 and 5. Suitable for practitioners delivering training programmes within the context of FE and HE institutions and training providers. It is for those who design, run and evaluate training sessions, prepare and develop resources, facilitate group learning and evaluate  training  and  development sessions.

Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (QCF)

The Level 3 award is suitable for assessors who deliver vocationally related qualifications within the QCF and assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a classroom or training environment.

Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF)

A knowledge based qualification suitable for those who seek to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of verification. This is a Level 4 award. 

Teaching/Classroom Assistants

The Level 3 Teaching Assistants course helps learners to develop their knowledge and skills in supporting children, young people and adults in their learning and assessment. This qualification develops learners’ practical knowledge and skills in a work context. It is designed to assist learners to develop their careers by identifying learning and assessment needs in the classroom, one-to-one or group learning activities.
